Who we are
North Fork Ranch where farming meets the forest and the world becomes a better place. Two generations of first responders use their interpersonal emergency skills to effectively try and run a farm. The North Fork Ranch was established in 2022 when the Lee Ranch which was homesteaded in 1923 passed the torch to the Avery/Edney families. The homesteading stories are endless and as the families remain best of friends every visit brings to light another piece of history and humor. The North Fork Ranch is excited to share our continued adventures which currently include, 5 acres of vineyards, 1/2 acre Hops, 1/2 acre Black Arkansas Cider Apples, 200 Christmas Trees, 2 Rows of Potatoes, Garlic, Mushrooms, Beef Cattle, Bee hives, Sheep, Meat/Egg Chickens, Goats,Turkeys, Off-road Rentals and event venues and of course lots of dogs. At North Fork Ranch we realized long ago life is not about what you do it's all about who you do it with. Welcome to the North Fork Ranch.
The History
The North Fork Ranch was originally the Plush Ranch. Lewis Plush was one of the few pilots in actual combat in World War 1. Lewis Plush decided to pursue his desire for a life on land and drove north to explore the mountains and found some remote acreage on the north fork of Lockwood Creek. In 1919 he began the work required to stake a homestead claim which was completed in 1920. Lewis and Ella Kleiner had two daughters, Louella and Lola, Louella married Bert Lee and the ranch became the Lee Ranch where Gary and Lois Lee passed the torch to the Avery/Edney families and the ranch became the North Fork Ranch.
Starting with Lewis Plush every person who has lived on this ranch has been a dedicated member of service and has developed a passion for education. This commitment to service and education can create a powerful, values-driven community focused on sustainability and ethical practices.
