WHOLE Steer

Deposit Required: $2000.00

Approximate Live Weight: (1300-1350 lbs.) x (4.40/lb.) = ($5720.00-$5940.00) ApproximateHanging Weight: (625-675 lbs.) x (1.60lb) = ($1,000.00-$1,080.00) Slaughter Fee: $260.00

North Fork Ranch Payment

($5,720.00-$5,940.00)- $2,000 (Deposit) = FINAL PAYMENT due and payable to North Fork Ranch before Transport to Butcher

($1,000.00-$1,080.00) + ($260.00) = Butcher Fees, paid directly to Barstow Country Butchering

Once steer has arrived at Barstow Country Butchering you will be in direct contact with the Butcher for payment and to choose your meat selection. You will need to request soup bones and organs if you would like those.

Whole Steer requires approximately 16-18 cubic feet of freezer space

HALF Steer

Deposit Required: $1,000.00

Approximate Live Weight (650-675 lbs.) x (4.40/lb.) = ($2860.00 - $2,970.00) ApproximateHarvest Weight (315-340 lbs.) x ($1.60/lb.) = ($504.00 – $544.00) Slaughter Fee: $130.00

North Fork Ranch Payment:

($2,860.00 - $2,970.00) – $1000.00 (Deposit) = FINAL PAYMENT due and payable to North Fork Ranch before Transport to Butcher

($504.00 - $544.00) + ($130.00) = Butcher Fees, paid directly to Barstow Country Butchering

Once steer has arrived at Barstow Country Butchering you will be in direct contact with the butcher for payment and to choose your meat selection. You will need to request soup bones and organs if you would like those.

Half Steer requires approximately 8-10 cubic feet of freezer space

QUARTER Steer

Deposit Required: $600.00

Approximate Live Weight (325-340 lbs.) x ($4.40/lb.) = ($1,430.00 - $1,496.00) Approximate Harvest Weight (160-170 lbs.) x ($1.60/lb.) = ($256.00 - $272.00) Slaughter Fee: $65.00

North Fork Ranch Payment:

($1,430.00 - $1,496.00) - $600.00 (Deposit): FINAL PAYMENT due and payable to North Fork Ranch before Transport to Butcher

($256.00 - $272.00) + ($65.00) = Butcher Fees, paid directly to Barstow Country Butchering

Once steer has arrived at Barstow Country Butchering you will be in direct contact with the butcher for payment. You will receive standard cut pieces for your quarter steer.

Quarter Steer requires approximately 5-8 cubic feet of freezer space

 To start the process of purchasing a steer, North Fork Ranch needs a deposit which gives you the right to purchase an interest in one of our steers live on the hoof. You are buying an interest in a live steer, or part thereof, that is custom grown to order for you and your family. North Fork Ranch will raise and care for your steer until completion at which time we will transport your steer to the butcher on your behalf. Once delivered to Barstow Country Butchering, they will be in contact with your direct to discuss cuts and payment.
